Revelation 3:1-22

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we're invited to examine where we are on the timeline of the church and what that means for our daily walk with Christ. This powerful message takes us through Revelation chapter 3, examining three distinct types of churches that exist today: the dead church of Sardis, the lukewarm church of Laodicea, and the faithful church of Philadelphia. We're challenged to honestly assess which church we identify with in our own spiritual lives. The message traces the remarkable history of Israel from 70 AD to the present day, demonstrating God's faithfulness to His people despite centuries of persecution and dispersion. This historical journey isn't just academic—it reveals that we're living in the last days, a time when lawlessness abounds, technology enables global control, and the return of Christ is imminent. The call to repentance rings throughout, reminding us that true worship begins with falling at God's feet and acknowledging our unworthiness. We're confronted with uncomfortable truths: that we may be part of a lukewarm church that loves praise but resists repentance, that values comfort over commitment, and that fails to care deeply for persecuted believers worldwide. Yet there's hope—we can choose to be the Philadelphia church, alive and vibrant, living with the heartbeat of Christ. The question echoes in our hearts: will we be dead, lukewarm, or truly alive for Jesus?
