One Out of Ten: Gratitude, Grace, and Spiritual Healing

What does it mean to truly recognize grace? In Luke 17, we encounter ten men suffering from leprosy, a disease that had stripped them of everything, their families, their futures, their sense of belonging. They all cried out to Jesus, they all received the same healing, and they all received the same instruction. Yet only one came back. That one man, a Samaritan, an outsider who had every reason to expect to be overlooked, understood something the other nine did not. He knew he had no claim on the mercy he had received. And that recognition changed everything. His gratitude was not just good manners. It was the outward sign of an inward transformation. Jesus declared him not only healed but made well, body and soul. This message invites us to examine our own hearts and ask whether we have truly grasped the depth of the grace extended to us, or whether we have quietly assumed we had it coming.
